LOVE CREATES A FAMILY

Daily Verse

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

Sickness Abounds

This past Sunday, Hannah and I woke up not feeling well. By Tuesday, Andrew was blowing his nose and sneezing. Today, Sierra has started coughing. Praise the Lord, I am feeling some better. The thing that is bothering me the most is that everywhere I look something needs done. I can handle my children getting sick but when I am sick things go undone. With 5 people in our house that is a lot of little messes. To add to the mess, today we got about 4 inches on SNOW. All my children wanted to go outside. At first, I was trying to talk them into staying inside. Then I realized that God gave them a blanket of white to play in today and why was I trying to steal His Joy. I sent the older two outside and said that Hannah and I were staying in. That was a good compromise. Don't you think? Well, as I sat drinking my coffee and looking out the window, I realized that I needed to get up and get out. Today was a day to make a memory with my children or I could just have them remember me being grouchy. I got up from my chair, dressed in warm clothes and dressed Hannah who was very willing to go "Out - Snow". (The Holy Spirit was not the only voice I heard telling me to go OUT. Hannah was standing by the door and saying, "Out - Snow" the entire time I was trying to justify staying INSIDE.) We stayed outside and played until Hannah decided to put her hand in a bucket of half frozen water. She also sat on the wet driveway that was covered in slushy snow. I had to do some convincing but she went inside when I mention her favorite movie. (I will get to the favorite movie another day.) After, we got the wet clothes off, I made some homemade Hot Chocolate and invited the neighbors over for Hot Chocolate. Over all, today has been a good day. My house is still a mess. Laundry still needs done and I am still clearing my throat. (Andrew said, "Mom, you sound like a horse.) But, I had a good day with my children.

I pretty much sound like a horse today, too. :-) My daughter was sick last week and it was a whole lot easier to deal with her sickness than my own.

Thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment. I'm glad you're enjoying it. And, hopefully you'll be seeing birds soon! We just started feeding the birds maybe 6 months ago and are amazed at how many we have!
