LOVE CREATES A FAMILY

Daily Verse

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

BIG OOPS!!

Last night after I blogged the post below, I turned off the light and went to bed. Well, as I was trying to fall asleep, I remembered that I had started a pitcher of tea and left it on the counter. Therefore, I got up to finish the tea. I walked into the kitchen and didn't see the tea pitcher next to the tea maker. My first thought was that Sierra had finished the tea for me. I decided to open the refrig. to make sure the lid was on correctly. The tea pitcher was not in the refrig. UMH? I turned on the light and looked around. OH MY! What do you think I saw? Yes, it was tea on the kitchen floor. How could I not have put the tea pitcher under the spout on the tea maker? What would divert my attention so that I would forget something like this? I would like to blame this on the children, but honestly this was all my fault. I can't believe myself!!
I set to work. I opened the drawer below the tea maker. Yes, full of tea. The cabinet below the drawer was full of tea. And then, there was the mess on the floor. I unloaded the drawer, the dishes in the cabinet went in the sink and started wiping everything. I looked at all the stuff from the JUNK DRAWER that now lay wet and tea stained on my counter. The thought came to me "Just wait till morning. It is already after 12:00." I quickly dismissed the idea when I realized that Hannah would want to HELP!! I started sorting, wiping, and throwing things away. Then I mopped the floor. Well, it was now 12:45 and off to bed I went. I laid down and try to think of how I could be thankful in the mist of stupidity. I came up with only one thought. I didn't organize the kitchen cabinet today. Thankfully, tomorrow I will mark the junk drawer off my list. It is clean and organized!! Thank you Lord for stupid mistakes!!

I will say that Jeff offered to help me clean up this mess, however, I just quoted Rule #20 " If you make a mess, YOU clean it up." And clean up is just what I did!!

Hmmmm. Sounds like "my" Missy. Nope, actually it sounds like something I would do. haha
I have really enjoyed reading yours and Sierra's blogs. The "Flat" children sounds like a very fun yet interesting idea. I can't wait to read about all the travelling and adventures the grandchildren experience. What a GREAT project.
Love you all so very much.
